Pre-University Schools and Programs

Qatar Foundation began its mission with the founding of a single school named Qatar Academy. Today, as a city of knowledge has grown around that one school, we continue to expand our offerings to foster a culture of lifelong learning in our younger students.

Introduction

03

At Qatar Foundation, everything starts with education. From preschool through to doctoral studies, we offer learning opportunities for students of all ages and abilities. For K-12 students, we offer various programs ranging from IB-accredited school systems to specialized schools that ensure every child gets the education they need.

To give every child the chance to be educated is a gift of promise. A gift of wonderment. A gift that opens up possibilities that can transform lives and develop thinkers, leaders, and creators of great art.

Uniquely Integrated

04

As members of Qatar Foundation, our schools are uniquely integrated into an array of entities and centers that serve Qatar’s needs for education, research, and community development. Our students regularly interact with the surrounding entities to enhance their learning experience and give them a sense of the real world.

A taste of university life

Most Education City universities offer summer and winter programs where high school students get a chance to experience university life by attending university-level courses and prepare for what lies ahead.

Qatar Academy Schools

05

Qatar Academy schools follow IB curricula and offer rigorous programs encompassing an international, bilingual education deeply integrated with our local culture and heritage. We designed these schools to push students to be critical thinkers and active members of society.

Since its launch in 1996, Qatar Academy has grown to five campuses located around the country.

Specialized Schools

06

We think all children should study at a place that allows them every opportunity to thrive. That’s why, in addition to our outstanding Qatar Academy schools, we’ve developed some specialized programs for those looking beyond the norm.
